Day 84 : The Short Bad Friday

You know you are playing the right game when this is the video outlining the company plans for Winter development.

I don’t get onto EVE today, it's good to have a break every now and again. Sitting on my ass watching Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol is about all I can manage in the evening. It’s an enjoyable film, not up to the standard of the first MI film but neither were the other two. It does have a bigger role for Simon Pegg than the third film did. He is guaranteed to be amusing in just about anything. I’ve been a fan since watching Spaced years ago, loved Sean of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and am eagerly awaiting The Worlds End. I wonder what Spaced would be like if it was written now. It might be time to rewatch all the episodes, I don’t think I’ve done it in while. If you have never seen it, why?

It seems I am regularly waiting all week to get to Friday to get a lot of EVE time in and then doing something else on the night. I think this is a good thing in terms of my still being able to curb the EVE addiction and spend time away from it. I think this is a bad thing in terms of the fact that nothing else is grabbing my imagination during the week. I need to get out some more.

While EVE is never far from my mind these days I do try to keep up with other games, particularly my old stomping grounds. I read this morning that my old Warcraft guild are going even further with returning and recruiting ahead of the Invasion Of The Deadly Pandas, so if any of you head back to Hellfire EU then check out
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/5207535770 . Seriously don’t go back though, Winter Is Coming, even in space, and even a Noob like myself can sense that CCP have a serious amount of stuff involving ship rebalancing up their sleeves.

NOTE: As I write this on Tuesday lunchtime trying to make up the backlog, I see this http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=73381. Winter IS coming. I wonder how long it is before Rixx Javix sees the return of the Frill?

NOTE 2: About 20 minutes :)

  1. lol. Just lucky I happened to be on at the right time. But it is a great ending to a lot of effort from many, many people!

    1. I picked up on it just after I started playing otherwise I'd have been up there in support. One of the sandbox/metagame stories that helped get me, and keep me, so fascinated. So at least in part, this is all your fault ;)
